Ticket offer of the week: New Year/New Noise

By Bristol24/7  Wednesday Jan 13, 2016

Following two sold out editions in a row, Howling Owl Records return to the Arnolfini for the third instalment of New Year / New Noise – a revelry of forward thinking noise and art.

As ever the lineup is a genre-hopping trip, with raw intrigue being the only real lineage. Spectres headline, a year on from the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Dying that has led them to drag their noise all over Europe and back again, and they promise to mark the anniversary with with the kind of one off, physical show Bristol has come to expect from them.

Joining them will be singular drum brutalist Blood Music whose recent releases on Diagonal Records have been rattling walls all over, and the beguiling Rhain who will stun the noise into silence.

Chrononautz will land and deliver a live hardware techno assault after Repo Man’s sax drenched post punk, and art collective CHAMP will be popping up free-form all over the place.

In addition to Saturday’s show, the event sees Howling Owl spread their wings throughout the weekend and also the Arnolfini itself, with events taking place on both the Friday evening and Sunday afternoon.
