Your Bristol favourites: Family-friendly eateries
This month, Bristol24/7 readers have been coming up with their favourite family-friendly places to eat and drink out. In alphabetical order, here are 10 of the best:
A Cappella
184C Wells Road, BS4 2AL
They seem to attract mothers with toddlers in daytime with colouring books etc and then cater for after school eating before becoming more of a restaurant (for parents, primarily) in the evening, structuring the day’s operations from the point of view of those with young children.

Brasserie Blanc
Quakers Friars, BS1 3DF
By far the best child friendly place in terms of being welcoming, and catering really brilliantly for little ones. We went for lunch a couple of weeks ago and it was fab. The staff were so friendly towards my young daughter and they did a little plate of snacks for her with really nice cheese and breadsticks, raisins and apples all for free!
Ali Bartlett
Boston Tea Party
Cheltenham Road, Clifton Village, Park Street, Whiteladies Road, Gloucester Road
Definitely @BTPcafes, loads of space and staff always friendly to kids. Easy pastry options mean no waiting.

The Eastfield Inn
219 Henleaze Road, BS9 4NQ
Very family friendly, a family room at the back with soft play, toys & a large pub garden with climbing frame, chickens & rabbits!
Lucy King
Gloucester Old Spot
138-140 Kellaway Avenue, BS6 7YQ
Great for adults and for children as they have a good outdoor play area and good kids menu.
Aleisha Scott
The Lion
19 Church Lane, BS8 4TX
Top-quality food but still ‘pubs’ with pints, dogs & kids, not ghastly ‘gastros’. So many can’t strike the balance.
Kevin Coughlan
Salt Café Deli
120 St George’s Road, BS1 5UJ
Lush food and beverages and an epic toy selection for little ones, not to mention the kiddy craft tables they often put on.
Jessica Siggers
St Werburgh’s City Farm Café
Watercress Road, BS2 9YJ
Tasty, organic food with a playground, so parents can enjoy a coffee after whilst the children burn off the excess energy. Plus close proximity to the farm itself, for the win.
Ani Stafford-Townsend
Venue 35
135 Stoke Lane, BS9 3RW
Good, spacious, lots on kids menu with a play area at the back in a separate room to the rest of the restaurant so the kids can make as much mess and noise as they like without bothering other customers.
Aleisha Scott
Windmill Hill City Farm Café
Philip Street, BS3 4EA
Nice wholesome food and coffee and added benefit of some ducks, sheep, chickens, rabbits for distractions.
