Rosario’s cafe opens in Clifton
A former print shop on Queen’s Road has been transformed into an Italian-style cafe.
It’s the second Rosario’s in the South West following their original cafe on Northumbria Place in Bath and offers a menu big enough to fit into one of the books pasted up as wallpaper in one corner.
That’s if you can reach it up a slightly precarious wooden ramp up to a newly created decking area in the shop’s former car park.
is needed now More than ever
Cannolis on the counter are a dream for those sweet of tooth, with recent selections of lemon, vanilla cream, pistachio and chocolate.
Other sweet treats include a Sicilian afternoon tea for £5.50 of three Sicilian pastries with any loose leaf tea or coffee, of which there are more than 40 options including the eponymous Rosario of a double espresso with condensed milk, chocolate and steamed milk.
Breakfast is available all day here from homemade porridge to the full English, with lighter lunches of paninis, salads and sandwiches, and more substantial meals served until 8pm including meatballs and a pasta of the week.
Specials on a recent Tuesday were pumpkin soup (£4.95), chicken tagine (£8.75), and aroncini (£5.25 for one or £9.50 for two), either meat ragu or mushroom and mozzarella.
