Coming soon…Dismaland Calais
Dismaland will live on in “The Jungle” refugee and migrant camp in Calais where parts of the “bemusement park” is being relocated.
In a simple, final message on the theme park’s website, its creator Banksy said: “Coming soon… Dismaland Calais. All the timber and fixtures from Dismaland are being sent to the ‘jungle’ refugee camp near Calais to build shelters. No online tickets will be available.”
The park closed for the final time on Sunday following a show on Friday night, including De La Soul, Kate Tempest, Leftfield and a surprise appearance by Damon Albarn.
The park in Weston-super-Mare’s derelict Tropicana lido attracted 150,000 paying customers who contributed an estimated £20 million to the local economy over five weeks.

Before Friday night’s final show, Banksy said he would be making a personal appearance in the crowd if everyone came in masks to help him hide his identity.
