Sherlock filming in Bristol
Filming is taking place at the Colston Hall on a one-off Sherlock special.
Lorries containing lights and cameras have been parked outside the venue most of the day, with equipment being taken into a side door leading to the building’s historic basement which Bristol Film Office list as a location.
Another clue is pink signs with the acronym WIM appearing across the city centre, directing cast and crew around Bristol. WIM could possibly stand for the name of the episode being filmed.
is needed now More than ever
It is understood that filming will start in the cellars on Tuesday. Other filming on Sherlock is expected to be happening in Bristol for the rest of the week, but as always the exact locations will remain a closely-guarded secret.
There have been no sightings yet of Benedict Cumberbatch or Martin Freeman, although Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss let the cat out of the bag this morning when he tweeted: “On my way West”.
Other Bristol locations previously used in Sherlock include Portland Square, Goldney Hall and Bristol South swimming pool.
