17-year-old boy dies after Lockleaze stabbing
Two men have been arrested for the suspected murder of 17-year-old Shamus Mcnama who died after being stabbed at a house in Lockleaze.
Police were called to a disturbance on Stothard Road at about 5.50am on Sunday where they found the teenager with knife wounds.
Shamus, who is believed to have attended Orchard School and SGS College before starting an apprenticeship, died from his injuries after being taken to Southmead Hospital.
Detective Inspector Richard Pegler said the stabbing was an isolated incident between people known to each other.
He added: “We have arrested two men on suspicion of murder, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old, and we are not looking for anyone else at this time.
“Our thoughts are very much with the family of this young man who has tragically lost his life and we are doing everything we can to support them at this difficult time.
“So please, can anyone who saw or heard anything in the early hours of this morning please call us on 101 now.”
