Helping Bristol’s homeless with food and warmth

There were shoes on one table, coats piled up to waist height, a heap of sleeping bags, hot food being served and a choir providing musical accompaniment.

In stark contrast to the Christmas shopping going on a few hundred yards away on Sunday afternoon, in the Bearpit people had donated clothes and food at an event organised by Keep Bristol Warm and Feed The Homeless.

Those who needed the clothes were rummaging through the piles to find items suitable for them, while those who were hungry were being fed.
