Bristol West has biggest support in UK for preventing Trump state visit

More than one in 20 voters in the Bristol West constituency have signed the petition against a state visit for US president Donald Trump.

It is the constituency with the most number of signatures anywhere in the UK

As of 10am when the petition passed one million people, there were more than 6,600 signatures but this swiftly climbed to more than 7,000:

A demonstration against Trump’s ban on people from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the USA takes place at 6pm on Monday at College Green.
