Ukip suspend vice chair over Castle Park porn
Bristol Ukip’s vice chairman, who leads a double life as a porn star, has been suspended by the party for an adult film shot in Castle Park.
John Langley – better known as Johnny Rockard – was ordered to resign by his local branch which said it considered the oral sex video filmed in public to be a criminal offence.
But in an extensive blog post, the local council candidate for Stockwood publicly refused to step down – eventually triggering his suspension.

Mr Langley, who lives in Brislington, said he was “bemused and incredulous” over his party’s request that he resign, rejecting that the video broke the law.
He said the party always knew of his professional background and had “shot itself in the foot” with the move to suspend him.
“To put this into its full perspectiveI I shot an oral sex video of myself and my model partner in Bristol’s Castle Park, and as I always do, published it on the internet for my audience. No change there then, “he said.
He went on to detail the request for his resignation by the branch based on the contravention of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 which brought the party “into disrepute.”
In a second blog post in which he announced his suspension, he added: “Let’s be very clear on where the law stands in this instance. No criminal act was committed because no criminal act was reported, and furthermore I have neither been arrested or charged with a criminal act.
“So therefore no criminal act has taken place. It was accepted both locally and nationally by UKIP that I make adult movies when I joined the party and therefore taken as read that I would continue to do so. Which I have, and totally within the framework of the law.
“Contentious as it all may be, the fact is I have done absolutely nothing wrong, and therefore I see absolutely no reason at all as to why I should resign. If anything the committee should resign and I should receive a public apology and be reinstated with immediate effect.”
Steve Wood, chairman of Bristol Ukip, told the Bristol Post: “There is a big difference between what somebody does in the privacy of their own home or even a studio and what they do in public.”
“We cannot have that kind of thing in the party and therefore we asked him to resign.
“If he had been elected before this came out, then it would have brought not just the party into disrepute but also the city council and that is something we just could not allow.”
Langley came third in Stockwood at the local elections, polling more than 20 per cent of the vote.
A report is now being sent to Ukip’s head office ahead of a decision on whether to kick Langley out of the party.
