Bristol’s Best Festive Market Stalls
We’ve well and truly embraced the festive spirit here at Slide HQ.
As well as exploring Bristol’s Christmas markets, we’re wrapping our vehicles in festive livery and are extending our core service hours to make your present-laden trips home a joy. Yule be home in no time! We’ll also be giving away a Christmas gift to one lucky Slider every day throughout December – just look out for our Advent Calendar themed transporter!
Here’s our pick of the best local stalls for gifts (and inspiration) from Bristol and beyond!
Stay cosy with an alpaca wool jumper from Peru
Alpaca wool from the Peruvian Andes is super soft so it makes the perfect scarfs, hats and jumpers to keep you warm and cosy this winter. Go and visit Peruvian stall owner Mellie and treat yourself to a Christmas jumper that nobody else is going to be wearing, a scarf for nan or a hat for mum. There’s even cuddly alpacas and mini jumpers for kids and cosy slippers to keep your tootsies toastie!
Stock up your cheese board with cheese from Snowdonia
If you’ve never tried Black Bomber from The Snowdonia Cheese Company then you don’t know what you’re missing! They’ve got a stall in Broadmead this year and they’re stocking nearly all of their flavoured cheeses, we recommend the chilli and red pepper, pickled onion, cranberry, and of course Black Bomber! Plus, there’s free tasting every day!
Sustainable gifts from India
We were assured that everything in the Zen shop is sourced sustainably so why not sparkle up somebody’s Christmas with a cushion made from upcycled saris in Rajasthan or one of their beautifully decorated ornamental bowls, or get your home smelling sweet with some of their scented candles or oils.
And for something more local….
Head down to The Architecture Centre near Harbourside where Made In Bristol have set up their pop-up festive shop selling a range of locally made and innovatively designed gifts inspired by Bristol’s history, places and people.
And remember, don’t be struggling home laden with Christmas shopping, treat yourself to a gluhwein and a bratwurst in the Christmas bar and book yourself a Slide home, we run until 7pm Monday to Friday (and will be extending our core service hours until 8pm from 1st December) and our vans have got more boot space than santa’s sleigh.
A Bus Yule Actually Want To Get On
You can also use us to Slide to your Christmas party in the evening, home after a boozy Christmas work lunch or to work the morning after the (work Christmas party) night before.
Need help ferrying presents from your corporate collection to your designated charity of the year? We’re here to help! Transforming one of our vehicles into a Sleigh, we’ll be taking on the role of Santa – write to us (email hello@slidebristol.com) with your Christmas logistical needs and
