ROYAL OPERA HOUSE LIVE: NORMA: A live screening of the new, modern production of Bellini’s bel canto opera, beamed from the Royal Opera House to screens across the UK. 

THE HUNNA (sold out): Thekla hosts The Hunna have who have seen continued support from BBCR1 in recent months, even earning a spot on the daytime R1 playlist.

TOO HIGH, TOO FAR, TOO SOON: Based on his acclaimed memoir, Simon Mason recounts the madcap adventures of a wannabe rockstar and supplier of party favours to Britpop aristocracy in this play at Alma Tavern.

LIGHT YEARS: The Watershed screens BAFTA-winning Bristolian director Esther May Campbell’s feature debut which premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival. 6.10pm.

INSTANT DREAMS: Fishpond’s Kingfisher Cafe puts on work from two Instant Film artists living in and around the South West. 9am – 4pm. 

BLUE HEART: Two, one-act plays from Caryl Churchill. Heart’s Desire follows a family awaiting their daughter’s return from Australia – but keeps veering off in unexpected and ridiculous directions. Blue Kettle centres on conman Derek and the five women he misleads into believing he is their biological son. Tobacco Factory, 8pm. 

A BUNCH OF JAPES: A weekly night for comedians to try out new material at Smoke and Mirrors. 8-10pm.
