Debate: Could we relax drug laws in Bristol?

Following our investigation into drug crime in the wake of the latest huge police operation in St Paul’s and Easton, we ask if the current approach to drugs is working.

 

After 66 people were sentenced at Bristol Crown Court for a total of 181 years for minor drug offences, we spoke to temporary chief inspector Ollie Cosgrove about what police are doing to stop this happening again:

We then spoke to Danny Kushlick, the CEO of drugs legislation reform charity Transform, based on King Street, about his views on the police operation and the current approach:
