The end of an epic challenge

A Bristol cafe owner has completed his run from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

Former teacher Andy Persson from St Andrew’s, who owns Beyond the Wall within The Triathlon Shop in the harbourside, took just 17 days to complete his challenge, running to the tip of England on Sunday evening.

Andy completed more than the equivalent of two marathons some days as he strode down the length of the UK raising money for Bristol-based charity Frank Water.

“That was the most incredible experience of my life,” Andy said. “It feels so great to have achieved something that, not long ago, would have been far beyond what I thought I was ever capable of.

“On top of that I have been overwhelmed by the support I have received through social media and the generous donations given for the vital work that Frank Water does in bringing safe, clean water to communities most in need of it.”
