Attendees include Richard Bacon MP, Paul Chatterton from LILAC Cohousing Leeds, and Guy Harris from AccessiblePRS who will share the progress since 2022 as well as introduce solutions to overhaul conventional UK housing approaches.
Other attendees include Louise Drew, partner at Shakespeare Martineau LLP who will discuss Building Communities; Nicola Harris, the Church of England’s cathedral curate & chaplain for housing; Craig Luttman, change director at Citra Living Lloyds Banking Group for the private rented sector, and Clare Skidmore, national housing lead at NHS England, specialising in the learning disability and autism programme.
Craig White, CEO of Agile Property, said this week’s conference will “explore radical strategies to provide genuinely affordable homes for those in housing need”.
Conversations will focus on “innovative land assembly, financing models, and inclusion and community engagement” White added.
Linda Farrow, Agile co-founder, and conference chair added: “We expect to spark more practical solutions with attendee Crisis’ CEO, Matt Downie, from Agile Home’s investor network and Libby Eastly, director of business development, Places for People (Living Plus) who will help create a diverse, highly skilled and collaborative network to host these conversations.”
Participants can connect with professionals, to equip them with the tools needed to act for more sustainable housing and tackle related areas such as homelessness, and community engagement and resilience.
The Radical Housing Conference will take place on October 12 and 13, at UWE’s Enterprise Park and is aimed at anyone wanting a sustainable and affordable UK housing industry.
