Founder of Extinction Rebellion coming to Bristol
The co-founder of the global environmental group Extinction Rebellion is coming to Bristol to discuss the climate emergency.
Gail Bradbrook will join the Bristol branch of Extinction Rebellion “for a thought-provoking and inspiring discussion on the urgent need for action on the climate and ecological emergencies.”
The talk will see Bradbrook and members of Extinction Rebellion Bristol share their perspectives on the current state of the climate crisis, what actions can be taken to address it, and how ordinary people can get involved in the movement.
is needed now More than ever
Bradbrook studied molecular biophysics at the University of Manchester before turning to activism and environmental campaigning.
She co-founded Extinction Rebellion in 2018 with Simon Bramwell and Roger Hallam, with the belief that non-violent civil disobedience was the only way to deal with the climate emergency on a mass scale.
Bradbrook was included in Radio 4’s power list of 2020 and has been arrested for her actions of civil disobedience, including awaiting trial after she was accused of smashing a plate-glass window of offices in London in October 2019.
