Artist documents dozens of collaborations during lockdown
Between April 2020 and April 2021, Luke Palmer turned a year of lockdowns into an opportunity to paint with dozens of other artists, creating more than 200 new works of collaborative art.
Better known as Acerone, the Bristol artist has now documented these collaborations within a new book.
Lockdown Collaborations, written by Palmer and Adam de Paor-Evans, features work by Palmer and other artists including Andy Council, Bex Glover, Felix Braun and Xenz.
is needed now More than ever
Rob ‘ZIML’ Lawes, one of the artists who collaborated with Palmer, said: “This book will take you on a journey through the images from these exciting and innovative projects, as well as shedding light on the circumstances surrounding this slew of creative collaboration.
“Each page contains something special that celebrates the small victories and triumphs that collaborative artistic working can bring. In addition, it provides an insight into the lives, processes and aesthetic offerings of the artists involved.”
Another artist, Felix ‘FLX’ Braun, said that Lockdown Collaborations “is an exploration of the triumph of the (creative) human spirit over (air-borne, viral) adversity”.
