Artist Jimmy Galvin Showing In London
Bristol artist Jimmy Galvin has been chosen to exhibit alongside renowned and high profile artists Gavin Turk, Polly Morgan and other leading contemporary artists at 81, Charlotte Street in London.
Jimmy Galvin lives and works in Bristol. He is an autodidact artist, composer and curator. He states that his primary influences include, amongst many others Carl Andre, Igor Stravinsky, Marcel Duchamp, Wittgenstein, Marcel Proust, Erik Satie, Mark Rothko, Thomas Chatterton and Joseph Beuys.
Some of his recent shows include Human Rights? In Lecce, Italy, Human Rights Migrantes and Memento in Rovereto, Italy. He was also the composer for the bbc short film ‘Goya – The Stolen Masterpiece’.
The exhibition and charity auction, organised by De’ Longhi Arts for the Macmillan Cancer Trust charity runs from October 21 to October 27
