Banksy confirmed to be behind artwork on side of Totterdown house
Banksy has confirmed that the street art which appeared on the side of a house in Totterdown on Thursday morning is his work.
Titled simply Aachoo!!, the piece received more than one million likes on Banksy’s official Instagram page in just over an hour.
The stencil at the bottom of Vale Street of a woman sneezing was swiftly covered in Perspex for its own protection.
is needed now More than ever
Banksy’s first piece painted in Bristol this year – of a young girl with a sling shot in Barton Hill – was tagged in pink spray paint less than 24 hours after it appeared on Valentine’s Day and was then boarded up.
The artist uses Instragram and his official website to authenticate his latest works, with 2020 being a particularly prolific year for the elusive artist.
The work on Vale Street follows outdoor pieces in London and Nottingham, rats attacking a bathroom during the first national lockdown, and even his idea for what should replace the empty Colston plinth.
