5. Whitchurch and Hengrove Community Orchard, Whitchurch Village Green
Spring/Summer 2017
Not strictly – or not purely – art, but this inspiring community orchard fully deserves a mention. Consisting of 48 heritage fruit trees in the shape of a cathedral, The Orchard provides a meeting place and, in time, will produce plentiful, free fruit for the community. This spring and summer it hosted a public programme of art projects, talks, workshops and trips.
