Bristol gallery hosts online show, invites submissions
Bristol’s 212 Productions Ltd, specialists in high quality prints for artists, photographers and illustrators, are to host a virtual selling exhibition, entitled Covid_2020, from the end of April, 2020.
Archiving artistic reflections of the current pandemic and lockdown, the show will “navigate the ups and downs of lockdown through artistic creation, and aim at a positive future”. And 212 are now welcoming submissions from artists in all media.
212 will be accepting artwork submissions until April 23, emailed to admin@212productions.co.uk
Artists submitting work should state the selling price of the piece being submitted: 212 will then add 25% on top to cover their expenses.
“We are accepting originals and prints,” explains director Sarah Thorp. “We are a fine art printing company and reproduction company, so we can help with prints or photographing works. If you get your prints elsewhere we don’t mind, we are accepting these too.”
is needed now More than ever
The virtual gallery will open on Thursday, April 30 from 6pm and will run for a month, with work rotated weekly. The shortlisted works will appear in a digital book online, which will also be on sale in hard copy form. All profits from these sales will go to a COVID-19 charity fund.
