Creative lockdown: Angela Harper
Angela Harper is part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.
Rainbows have been appearing in windows across Bristol, and indeed the rest of the country, during the lockdown to make people smile while they’re walking by and to offer a message of hope.
A mum in Shirehampton has put a spin on the rainbow trend, using Posca pens to draw a rainbow mandala on her window.
is needed now More than ever
Angela Harper says: “I was inspired to make it by seeing all the beautiful rainbows that have been popping up in people’s windows during isolation to show support for the key workers and to bring the community together.”
She created the artwork with her daughter and has inspired her whole family to get in the creative spirit. “My husband is also getting creative,” says Angela. “Having a go at painting a mural on our wall with leftover house paint!”
