Creative lockdown: Erin Turnbull
Erin Turnbull is part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.
“I want people in the region and across the country to watch this as it touches on our efforts as a nation to stay strong and fight this war we are going through,” says Erin Turnbull, a film student from Old Market.
“We will come out the other side and we will win this war thanks to our hero key workers.”
is needed now More than ever
Erin, who studies at Screenology, wrote, directed, acted in and edited a short film based on a poem she wrote about life during pandemic.
“The poem was inspired by a message to myself in the future, after we fight this pandemic, and I wanted to record my daily life during lockdown as well as explore the positive future we will experience if we make the sacrifices now,” says Erin.
“I may not be on the front line myself but wanted to show my appreciation for those who are and show that we are all feeling the effects of this virus.”

Erin, who is living in Weston-super-Mare during the lockdown, adds: “I wanted to make an affirmation to myself and everyone that we are in this together and we will get through this together.”
