Design Temporium at The Architecture Centre

By Lou Trimby  Friday Nov 28, 2014

The Christmas Design Temporium pop-up shop is staffed by local artist-makers, selling beautiful, innovative and intelligently designed gifts, cards, jewellery, prints, ceramics and homewares, all made in the UK.

Showcasing and promoting a wealth of creative talent from across the city and beyond, this year’s highlights include an expanded range of products specially commissioned by Made in Bristol. These items include sketchbooks, tea towels, pencil cases, colour-in placemats and an apron modelled by Joric the polar bear.

In keeping with the shop’s location, architecturally themed gifts are on sale such as plumbing related homeware from renowned product designer, Nick Fraser, Colin Cobb’s geometric lampshades and Scout & Boo’s upcycled furniture.

The Centre will be open for longer, 10am – 6pm, and on Tuesdays,  in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

There will be a late night shopping evening on Thursday 18 December from 6-8pm, and the Architecture Centre will be open on Monday 22 December for last minute gift shopping!
