Explore the universe without leaving Bristol Cathedral

By Martin Booth  Tuesday Nov 1, 2022

Experience Bristol Cathedral like never before as it plays host to an immersive light show that takes you to the far reaches of the universe.

Luxmuralis: Space Voyager is only happening in the cathedral from Tuesday to Saturday, with light projections on the walls, windows and ceilings of the historic building accompanied by a bespoke soundtrack.

The feast for the senses is suitable for all ages and lasts between 45 to 60 minutes depending on how long you want to spend in front of each projection.

Lead artist and artistic director Peter Walker says that Luxmuralis “is about developing the fine art tradition through new media and placing that art in public and unexpected places which have art history”.
