First Bristol Art District Weekender comes to streets of Bedminster
Bedminster will host its first Bristol Art District Weekender on Saturday and Sunday with a street party and fringe events celebrating local artists, makers and performers.
The weekend of August 19 and 20 promises to be a celebration of all things creative in BS3.
Bristol Art District is a new name being given to Bedminster and Southville thanks to the proliferation of street art and creative businesses in the area.

Expect free craft workshops, performance art, dance, street art and photography over the weekend. All art forms will be celebrated, with painters, potters, actors, singers and more taking part.
On Saturday, East Street will be transformed into a street party filled with live theatre, choirs, street performers and children’s crafts.
On Sunday, the activities will move inside with free to attend workshops, drop-in events and entertainment spread throughout the area, as well as street art walks,photography workshops and other outdoor activities.
Head of Bedminster Business Improvement District, Ruth Green, said: “There is so much creativity running through the heart of Bedminster and we want to amplify it.
“The area has always been a hub of creative activity, and events like this really bring that to the forefront.”
Green added: “It’s more important than ever to support our local retailers and hospitality businesses so we’re hoping Bristol will turn out in force for a huge celebration of Bristol’s creativity.”
