Get Creative Festival, May 2020: call for events

By Steve Wright  Wednesday Feb 5, 2020

The annual Get Creative Festival returns from Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 17, 2020, and the organisers are inviting people to submit creative events they’d like to stage, for inclusion in the festival programme.

Get Creative shines a light on all the great cultural activity that takes place on a regular basis in local communities, and encourages people to try their hand at something new and creative, through free, participatory events organised by community groups, arts organisations and volunteers. Last year’s festival featured some 1,700 events.

Events can involve any kind of creativity from singing to crafts, painting to dance, and baking to gardening. As long as the event is creative, participatory and free (or cost-recovery), it’s welcome in the festival. And the organisers are calling for events for this year’s festival.
