Grayson’s Art Club exhibition coming to Bristol
Artworks from one of the most popular television programmes during lockdown are coming to Bristol in December.
The pieces chosen by Grayson Perry and guest celebrities during season two of the popular Channel 4 series, Grayson’s Art Club, will feature in the exhibition at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery.
Created by the public, established artists and celebrities, curators say that the artworks are “powerful and very personal responses to the pandemic and form a lasting artistic record of the unprecedented times the nation has experienced together”.

Perry said: “I am honoured and delighted that the Grayson’s Art Club exhibition will be held at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery.
“I am especially pleased for all the artists who have contributed to Art Club that they will get to show their work in such a prestigious venue in a great city.”
Alongside pieces from Grayson and Philippa Perry and members of the public, there will also be paintings from celebrities including Boy George, Derren Brown and Lianne La Havas.
Shaminder Nahal, commissioning editor at Channel 4, said: “Series two of Grayson’s Art Club captured so much of the rollercoaster of emotions we have all been feeling during the pandemic, and so many touching and memorable works of art were created by people from all over the country.
“I can’t wait to see their work on show at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, right in the heart of such a vibrant, exciting and creative city.”
Grayson’s Art Club will open on December 4 at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and continue until summer 2022.
