Social enterprise calling for creative submissions on the theme of ‘Nature’

By Sarski Anderson  Friday Feb 18, 2022

Create For is a small social enterprise that uses creative events to build artist communities and give back to local causes.

Their first exhibition, Create For Wellbeing, took place in October 2021 and showcased 26 artists of different disciplines.

Through donations and sales at the exhibition shop, they raised over £350 for OTR Bristol, a local mental health charity for young people.

Create For Nature is their second exhibition, which will be raising money for Windmill Hill City Farm.

Well-loved by so many people and particularly young families in south Bristol, the Farm provides an ‘oasis in the city’ while providing ‘opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn about farming and sustainable food production’.

People from all creative disciplines and backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to take part in the exhibition.

The chosen theme is ‘nature’, which can be portrayed however the artists like; a celebration of their local environment, concern for climate change, a love of animals or myriad other interpretations.

Submissions are open for Create For Nature until February 28, and the final exhibition will be held at Bristol Aquarium in late Spring.
