Art / Bristol cathedral
Immersive multi-sensory experience exploring the universe coming soon
Bristol Cathedral will be transformed into a virtual canvas this autumn that promises to take visitors on a journey through outer space.
Luxmuralis: Space Voyager is an immersive multi-sensory experience by light artist Peter Walker which will see projections on the walls of the cathedral and a bespoke soundtrack by composer David Harper filling the building.
The experience will aim to help visitors explore the cathedral in a new light (no pun intended) and contemplate their relationship with Earth and the Universe beyond.
is needed now More than ever

Walker said: “We are all responsible for this small planet that we started to explore in the 1960s. Climate change is part of the narrative.
“The artwork is about reflecting inwards as much as it is about reflecting outwards, and about how we take care of our small piece of the Universe.”
Luxmuralis: Space Voyager is at Bristol Cathedral from November 1-5. Tickets must be purchased in advance from www.yuup.co/light
