Inflatable fun at the RWA
Three inflatable sculptures have appeared on the balcony of the RWA as part of a new exhibition.
Muse Your Imagination is a collaboration between the RWA and Creative Youth Network, with more than 30 young artists aged between 11 and 19 producing textiles, photography, music and film inspired by the the Grade II* listed building and its permanent collection.
And here they are at night:

The inflatable sculptures were made with artist Luke Egan.
They bring to mind the Crimes of Passion show from 2009 which saw more than 50 of Bristol’s best graffiti artists taking over the building for an exhibition which included a rocket crashlanding on the roof and tentacles reaching out from the balcony.
This time, the sculptures are a yellow female figure with flailing arms, a white cloud-cum-thought bubble and a colourful genie’s lamp-esque structure.
Guided by projection expert Sid Fossil, the young artists also created a series of films and slide images which will be projected on the inflatables and even interacting with the coat of arms and statues that perch on the roof.
Muse Your Imagination is at the RWA until March 14. For more information, visit www.rwa.org.uk/whats-on/muse-your-imagination
