MAYK’s Demostage is back to help early ideas take shape
The returning event Demostage – from live performance producers MAYK – promises to be a fun and supportive space in which artists can share their early-stage projects and ideas with others.
Designed to help them find connections, get inspired and find out how to develop and shape their work, the evening event at St Anne’s House is designed to be informal and inclusive. A BSL interpreter will be present throughout.
MAYK is currently appealing for participants for Demostage. All of them will be allotted five minutes of time to present their ideas, followed up by a further five minutes of discussion and feedback from the audience.

This format helps to work through any creative blocks that artists may have found themselves struggling with, to ask and answer questions of themselves and others, as well as fostering collaboration and encouraging constructive critiques within a positive framework.
Demostage is open to creative ideas of any kind, from music to gaming; writing to theatre; art to sound, and more.
Those wanting to share their work must indicate their involvement in advance of the event by filling out a form from the organisers.
Audience members are also welcome, whether or not they also wish to contribute and share their own projects.
