New Banksy appears

By Bristol24/7  Monday Aug 13, 2018

A fake road sign by Banksy disappeared from a lamppost almost as soon as it appeared.

The sign showing two elderly people being carried by two children appeared on The Beach in Clevedon.

A photo of the work was posted on the elusive artist’s official Instagram page on Friday.

Bristol mayor Marvin Rees revealed in July that Banksy got in touch with the council to offer financial support to help keep the city’s libraries open in the wake of the announcement (since reversed) that 17 of the city’s 27 libraries would stop being funded.

The last work by Banksy on Bristol walls was at Bridge Farm Primary School in June 2016.

Before that, The Girl with the Pierced Eardrum appeared in October 2014 on the side of a building in Albion Docks close to Spike Island.
