RWA’s 167 Annual Open: submissions open soon

By Steve Wright  Friday Jun 28, 2019

The Royal West of England Academy invites submission for its Annual Open Exhibition, now in its 167th year, from Tuesday, July 2.

As the name suggests, anyone can enter their work for this mixed discipline show: the Annual welcomes everything from painting, drawing and printmaking to photography, film, sculpture and illustration, and attracts entries from artists across the UK and beyond. A selection panel assesses every entry: last year, 634 works by 413 artists made it into the final exhibition. All work is for sale and the exhibition attracts art-lovers and art-buyers from far and wide.

Submissions for artists will be open from July 2-August 20, via the RWA’s Online Submission System. The 167 Annual Open will run from Sept 29-Dec 1.
