Showcasing artists’ work in new gallery
A former shop in Hotwells has been transformed into an art gallery, with a new artist taking over the space every month.
Graphic artist Otto is currently exhibiting at Clifton Workshop, which also doubles up as a studio for owner Caroline Quiroga and hosts regular classes from screenprinting to bookbinding.
Those exhibiting at Clifton Workshop on St George’s Road, next to the Bag of Nails pub, will be a mixture of established and up and coming artists, with Caroline taking a small commission from the works sold.

Otto’s work on display at the current exhibition at Clifton Workshop
“I cannot always promise that people will like everything,” Caroline says. “But it’s always going to be varied.
“I like artists with statements to say. Otto for example has got such a great technique as well as his amazing visual thinking.”
Clifton Workshop is open from 10am to 3pm from Monday to Wednesday, and from 10am to 6pm from Thursday to Saturday. For more information, visit www.cliftonworkshop.co.uk
