Stokes Croft’s counterculture celebrated in new exhibition
Stokes Croft has been the centre for many of the political battles that have defined Bristol’s recent history, a hotspot for gentrification and its political opposition.
It’s also a centre for culture and creativity, hosting many of Bristol’s most popular clubs, arts spaces, and gig venues.

The exhibition will take viewers on a journey to explore the constantly changing collage of visual ephemera.
From gig posters and protest banners, to meeting notes and drawings, the exhibition charts the major political struggles that have defined Stokes Croft in the past 20 years through a curated selection of objects from the archive.
Stokes Croft Archive Exhibition will be held at The PRSC Space on Jamaica Street, and will run from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2, with an opening night on Friday with live music from Natalie Whiteland, Tom Connolly and more.
