Suspension Bridge, stained glass and street art
A colourful Clifton Suspension Bridge inspired by stained glass windows has been painted over a previous street art version of Brunel’s famous span.
The new artwork is by Acerone, who also painted the original piece.
Rather than repainting it when it was tagged, however, he has now created a brand new mural in the same location.

The new artwork is located in the Cumberland Piazza, the largest open space in Hotwells.
It was funded by the Hotwells Panto and Hotwells & Cliftonwood Community Association, and is part of the Art Under the Flyover project.
Here is the piece from 2019 that the new artwork has replaced, with the bridge and the Avon Gorge roughly in the same place:

Both pieces were painted on top of some Braille which is believed to have been installed here in the late 1990s.
