The Other Art Fair 2018 announces full Bristol lineup
Regular Bristol24/7 illustrator Anna Higgie will be painting a colourful mural at the entrance to this year’s Other Art Fair, which comes to the Passenger Shed from July 26 to 29.
Australia-born Higgie, who works from Jamaica Street Studios, illustrates our monthly Breakfast With Bristol24/7 interview.
As well as her work appearing in print in magazines and newspapers across the world, her murals can also be seen in locations such as on Stokes Croft next to The Love Inn and inside Oowee Diner on North Street.

Artists from far and wide have been selected for the biggest Other Art Fair to date in its new location.
More than half of the 100 exhibitors are new, with Bristol artists supplying a large part of the emerging talent.
Victoria Young Jamieson creates her unique landscape art using wax, resin and glue and more. Jameson takes inspiration from Cornish landscapes, and her work captures the dramatic seasons of the county’s dramatic coastline.

New additions to next month’s Other Art Fair also bring a diverse spectrum of styles.
Annie Clay, a Bristol-based freelance textile designer and artist based in Bristol, has worked in commercial printed pattern design for over a decade and specialises in characterful and feminine printed patterns and artwork for clothing, accessories, homeware and stationary.
In addition, a self-taught painter from Bristol, Brook Tate, creates portraits on wood panels, leaving parts uncovered to expose the intricate patterns of the wood.

The full lineup join acclaimed British artist and author Harland Miller, best known for his large-scale, photo-realistic paintings, posters and prints of vintage Penguin book covers.
Miller will be releasing a one-off limited edition print in support of Art on a Postcard, and will be producing 50 signed and numbered postcard sized prints of Colour Made me Hard, proofed at Jealous Print Studio.

The Other Art Fair Bristol is the only UK edition outside of London.
The inaugural Bristol edition launched in 2015 and now attracts over 6,000 visitors across the weekend, welcoming an audience of art lovers of whom 60% are new to the experience of art-buying.

Similar to previous years, The Other Art Fair’s artists will have face-to-face introductions with potential purchasers, making the Fair especially appealing for first-time buyers.
With prices starting from £100, buyers of all experiences can obtain works that cover a wide range of genres, from photography to stencilling, painting to sculpture, ceramics to street art and mixed media.
Fair manager Jessica Chow said: “We are returning to Bristol with the biggest fair to date, with a huge variety of incredible artists. We have a huge proportion of new artists this year, and a great variety of different artworks from across the UK and abroad.
“We are also excited to have 64 per cent female artists this year – continuing our ambition to have equal representation of artists exhibiting at the Fair.”
