The People’s Art Fair returns to Stokes Croft
The People’s Republic of Stokes Croft is launching the People’s Art Fair (PAF), a ten-daylong celebration of culture and expressive art.
Beginning on on Thursday, March 30, the fair will provide a platform for over 60 local artists, photographers, poets and musicians, to showcase their diverse talent.
The PAF highlights inclusivity and collaboration, displaying work from professional artists, graffiti-writers, homeless people, young people and refugees.
is needed now More than ever
Fostering a mutually supportive creative community, exhibitors are expected to help with the exhibition’s installation, promotion and management, and collaborate on several events and workshops.

The core principle that underlies the PAF is that “together we are greater than the sum of our parts…. All of us benefit from the inclusion of one another”.
Participation towards the PAF is free for artists, and all ticketed events offer a range of prices to suit a range of incomes.
Art fair coordinator Lisa Furness said: “This a natural extension of the PRSC’s work to break down barriers and increase inclusion and voice and is a direct challenge to the idea that ‘real art’ is exclusive and only created by, and relevant to a small cultured, wealthy elite.”
A number of activities are scheduled, including experimental music-making, comedy, AI art-making and banner painting activities.
The People’s Art Fair will be open 12-6pm everyday from March 31 to April 9.
