The Secret Postcard Auction is a chance to own artwork from high-profile names
With art donated by famous artists such as Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley and Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park, the Secret Postcard Auction is a hotly anticipated fundraising event which raises around £40,000 each year.
With money raised going towards the continued running of the Royal West of England Academy (RWA), the auction ensures the gallery can continue to show exhibitions and create activities for people from all backgrounds.
All of the postcards for the auction, which is being held on Thursday, May 16, have been submitted anonymously by a number of high-profile artists. The identities of the artists will be kept secret until the auction ends. Winning bids have a chance to win a unique work of art from a professional artist, with a minimum bid of £40.

Postcards submitted by the high-profile artists at previous RWA auctions
All artworks are 19 x 14cm and have been signed by their artists, which means buyers must either guess who the famous artists are or bid on what they like most. They will be on show in the Secret Postcard Auction Exhibition at the RWA from May 4-15, and can also be viewed online until the auction, which takes place Thursday, May 16 from 6pm-9:30pm.
Tickets are £10 and include a welcome drink and nibbles and more information can be found at www.shop.rwa.org.uk/products/secret-postcard-auction
