Upfest launches crowdfunding campaign
After a year away, the biggest live street art festival in Europe will once again take over Bedminster from July 25 to July 27.
Upfest promises to be bigger and better than ever before in 2015, with some 250 artists from across the globe painting dozens of walls.
However, like most festivals it costs money to stage such a large event and as result Upfest have launched a crowdfunding campaign via Kickstarter.
The campaign aims to raise £15,000 which will allow the team to give the artists additional paint and materials for their giant artworks.
Some of the money will also go towards the basic infrastructure of the festival which is vatally important to the managing of an estimated 25,000 visitors across the weekend.
People who chose to support the campaign can earn rewards which increase in value depending on the size of the donation. Rewards include exclusive and limited edition prints from Festival artists like My Dog Sighs, Otto Shade and Inkie.
The campaign ends on Sunday, May 24 and the project will only be funded if the target of £15,000 is reached.
