Upfest opens artist registration for 2022 festival
Registration for Europe’s largest street art festival is officially open.
The Upfest team have announced they are now taking applications for this year’s event, stating that artists who previously signed up during the cancellations of 2020 would have their acceptance honoured and carried forward.
The event will see 400 of the top street artists in the UK descend on Bedminster for a weekend of painting walls, selling art, and (hopefully) basking in the sunshine.
is needed now More than ever
As the first for three years, Upfest co-founder Stephen Hayles, expects the 2022 festival to be a big one. “Planning is underway for our biggest festival to date, with our first major park location and we’re really eager to see what our brilliant artists have lined up for Bedminster,” said Stephen.
There’s plenty of room for artists of all levels, too, and the team doesn’t want people to feel too intimidated to apply.
Stephen adds: “Whether this is your first large scale piece or you have been painting walls for five decades, the ethos of Upfest is one of inclusivity and nurturing new talent as well as showcasing incredible internationally famous artists.”

With more than 1,100 artists from more than 70 countries registering in previous years, along with the fact that the last Upfest was three years ago, you can gear yourself up for a paint-fuelled weekend to remember.
Not only this, but the whole thing is in aid of The National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACOA), a charity that offers confidential phone support for children affected by alcoholism within the family.
The festival will take place over the weekend of May 28-29, and artists have until February 6 to register.
