Upfest to return for 10th anniversary festival in 2018
From just 40 artists at its first event to becoming Europe’s largest street art festival, Upfest has come a long way and is set to celebrate in style at its tenth anniversary in 2018.
Upfest will return to the streets of Bedminster from July 28 to 30 with Bristol’s very own Jody as the official festival artist.
Jody was part of the early scene in Bristol, based around the Barton Hill Youth Club in the late 1980s, who has since developed photorealistic figurative works.

Upfest founder and gallery owner Steve Hayles said: “From 2008 to now, it’s been an incredible journey to see the festival go from strength to strength.
“We never imagined it would become what it is today when we first introduced the festival and it’s with thanks to all the incredible artists we’ve worked with over the years, our volunteers, sponsors, supporters, team and the city of Bristol that we’ll now celebrate the 10th anniversary in 2018.
“We can’t wait to share what 2018 has in store as plans development and we’re looking forward to opening artist registration in January to really get things started.”
