These sit alongside iconic artists of the 20th century, like Andy Warhol, David Hockney and Damien Hirst. Joan Miro and Tracey Emin are displayed next to modern works from Banksy, Stik and Inkie. Inside Hidden Gallery in Clifton

To showcase the best of the art world, Hidden has recently added an exhibition space which will feature a new selling exhibition every month. Starting with a stunning show of all 40 Matisse Cut-outs, including the famous Blue Nudes, followed by an exhibition of limited editions by Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst.

Over the next few months, they will not only seek to feature contemporary local painters and printmakers, but also showcase some remarkable works by major artists not usually seen outside museums.

Hidden is run by Chris Kendall, only yards from the world-famous Clifton Suspension Bridge and in an area full of boutique and designer shops.

Chris, who has been an art collector for many years, moved to Bristol more than 30 years ago to run Bristol institution Plastic Wax Records. Although a Yorkshireman by birth, Chris considers himself a Bristolian through-and-through.

Speaking on the partnership with Bristol 24/7, Chris said: “It will help Hidden spread the word about the rich variety of art available in the gallery and perhaps open readers eyes to new artists.

“We want to give something back to the creative community in the city.”
