Bristol author Tim Ewins releases second novel, ‘Tiny Pieces of Enid’
Bristol author Tim Ewins came to writing following years as a stand-up comic, alongside what he calls his “accidential career” in finance, and even a brief stint in acting (he appears briefly in the Tom Hardy film, Bronson).
His acclaimed debut novel We Are Animals was published in 2021 by Lightning Books, who are set to publish his latest title, Tiny Pieces of Enid, on May 9, with a series of local and regional literary events surrounding the launch.
Set in Clevedon, the book follows Enid, who lives in a residential home for people with dementia in the town.

She is visited on a regular basis by Olivia, with whom she feels a strong connection, though she cannot delineate why.
When she escapes from the home in a bid to return to her husband, Roy, Enid’s “silent partnership” with Olivia deepens further, and she is confronted once more with her own, forgotten history.
It’s a hugely moving story of love, loss, memory, ageing and companionship that has had praise lavished upon it from bestselling authors including Polly Crosby, A.J. West, Hazel Prior, Beth Morrey and Frances Quinn.
Tim Ewins: Tiny Pieces of Enid is out now, published by Lightning Books.
The author will be introducing the novel at Max Minerva’s, Portishead on May 11, at Waterstones, The Galleries on May 20, and at the Clevedon Literary Festival on June 9-10.
