Creative lockdown: Kathy Feest
Kathy Feest is part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.
Kathy Feest, who lives in Clifton, has started a blog to document life under lockdown.
The blog, Feest Isolation Days, is a daily account of what life is like in Bristol under government lockdown is like. Kathy started the blog because she is ” a very social being and wanted to connect with our many friends who are scattered around the globe”.
is needed now More than ever
“Finding ways of continuing to live our lives and love the lives we live is a challenge,” says Kathy. “Writing about feelings as well as what’s going on in the new world we find ourselves in, seems to have struck a chord with many who have become regular readers.
“The daily missive always includes something either uplifting, funny or just plain pleasant. My writing is very personal and doesn’t avoid the tricky days and yes, there are, of course, tricky days.
“When people read the blog if they get the sense that they are not on their own, that we very social beings can still connect in ways that make our days a bit calmer, then it’s worked.”

Kathy’s blog covers both big issues and small joys, such as breakfast in the garden
Kathy will continue the blog until lockdown has ended.
