Bristol24/7 are offering the chance to win two tickets to see Anna Freeman, author of The Fair Fight, talking at Stanfords on July 2 about her debut novel.

In The Fair Fight, one of Bristol24/7’s top books of 2014, Bristol-based author Anna Freeman brings us a tale like no other: two Bristolian women – Ruth, a brothel-born pugilist, and Charlotte, a wealthy recluse – find themselves battling together for a chance to lead a free life.

The Fair Fight takes you from a filthy brothel to the finest houses in Queens Square, from the world of street-fighters at the Hatchett Inn to the world of champions in London. Alive with the smells and the sounds of the Bristol streets, it is a raucous, intoxicating tale of courage, reinvention and fighting your way to the top.

The event takes place on Thursday, July 2, from 6.30 to 8.00pm
