Heartman author releases short story
The short story mystery Wendell Patin’s Pork Pie was released today by M.P. Wright, author of Heartman which was set in the Bajun community of St Paul’s in the 1960s. Heartman was the first of a three-book series and the second is due for release May 2015.
The new short story is set in St Paul’s in December of 1966. It’s been 12 months since the Heartman affair and off the books inquiry agent, Joseph Tremaine Ellington, is low on festive cheer, still down on his luck and again about to find himself up to his neck in other folks troubles.
With only two days before Christmas, JT is asked to take on a case with little financial reward and become both good Samaritan to wayward thief, Wendell Patin and a reluctant ‘bag man’ to some very ‘hot’ stolen goods.
is needed now More than ever
It’s a simple job of returning valuable property back to its rightful owner, but the owner in question is Bristol gangland boss, William ‘Billy’ Ryder, a man who is not accustomed to having his belongings pilfered. Being the season of goodwill Ellington isn’t looking for trouble, but trouble kinda has a way of finding him. No matter what time of year it is.
Wendell Patin’s Pork Pie is available on Amazon Kindle.
