Architects publish children’s book

By Joanna Papageorgiou  Tuesday Mar 24, 2015

I am the Architect is the first children’s book to be written, designed and produced by Moon, a Clifton architecture and building firm.

Recommended for ages eight and above, it’s a tale reminiscent of the Truman Show – although instead of a corporation adopting a baby human and watching him from a fake moon, Architect’s protagonists have created their own child,  Archie.

The self-proclaimed ten-year-old genius sets out on a mission to design the ultimate garden den. As he strives for perfection, he travels the world in search of inspiration, encountering different architecture, colourful wildlife and foreign cuisines – all accompanied by his loyal pet fish, Bruno (although the latter may be an imposter).

The end result is a visually stunning work that pays tribute to the authors’ evident love of what they do. The book also features a design competition with the chance to win an iPad.
