Tricky autobiography to be published this autumn

By Joe Melia  Friday Sep 6, 2019

Tricky, the ground-breaking, Bristol-born musician, singer, and producer is releasing an autobiography at the end of October.

Hell Is Round The Corner will be published by Bonnier Books imprint, Blink Publishing, and chronicles the rise of the hugely influential Knowle-West-born artist. In the book Tricky documents his formative years in Bristol including his role in the Wild Bunch sound system of the 1980s and his work with Massive Attack, before he embarked on his successful and pioneering solo career. He also discusses his family life, including the impact of his mother’s death when he was just four years old.

Tricky’s autobiography will be published on October 31

Kerri Sharp, Commissioning Editor at Blink Publishing, said: “Tricky’s sound and lyrics stopped everyone dead in their tracks in the early ’90s with their originality. Who could ever forget, “Say reduce me, seduce me, dress me up in Stussy”? I’m delighted to be working with such an original artist on such a unique life story.”
