Recipe book raising funds for charity

By Joe Melia  Thursday Feb 22, 2018

Friends and family of Joanna Robertson have put together a cookbook in her memory.

Jo, who was a committed vegan and dedicated campaigner for animal rights, died of cancer in November 2013 aged just 36.

Jo lived in Greenbank, and saw the value in campaigning for veganism and cooked many a dish to promote vegan food to non-vegans. She was also committed to the cause of animal rights and was heavily involved in trying to stop the Krebbs trial badger cull, and protesting against vivisection.

The 126 page full colour book, Jo’s Vegan Nosh, is a collection of her recipes, collated by her friends and family. The proceeds will go to organisations helping animals and the Penny Brohn Cancer Support Charity.

The retail price is £5 and Jo’s friends and family are selling it directly for £6.90 including postage and packing. If you would like to make wholesale enquiries or buy a book, please email josvegannosh@gmail.com.

The book can also be bought from Harvest on Gloucester Road, Hydra on Old Market and Kebele Social Centre.
